for
the Week
CCT: Work in memorizing Hozhinji Song, Rain Dance and In Dulci
Jubilo. You should be practicing at home, daily!
Intermediate Choir: 2nd Period- Keep working on Turtle
Dove and Phantom. 3rd Period- Work on Turtle Dove and Phantom.
Wednesday, Quiz over Brahms and Mendelssohn. Friday, Test- with essay
questions. Do independent research on the composers. Auditions for Sandy Lake
next Wed. & Thur.
Elementary Choir: Memorize Jubilate Deo.

Classroom Rules
1)
Walk silently into the room and stand/sit in your assigned
position/seat
2)
Do not talk during class unless instructed to do so. Observe Code
1 at all times.
3)
Be attentive at all times.
4)
Always wear the appropriate school uniform.
5)
No gum, food, soda, at any time. (Water bottles are allowed during
class)
6)
Always have rehearsal folder and at least 2 sharpened pencils during
rehearsal.
7)
Be respectful of others at all times.
(Other rules that are found
in the Student and Parent Handbook must also be strictly adhered to)
Grading Policy
Grades will be based on a 100-point scale. Each
student begins the grading period with 100 points. The final grade will be
based on the following scale:
40
points- Daily Class
Participation
30
points- 2 written tests
30
points- Homework
assignments and Weekly hearings
Daily Class participation- Students are expected to
participate daily in class and on any scheduled activities. Points will be
deducted for: non-participation, not having required materials (folder,
music, pencils, etc.)
Written Tests- There will be two written tests per
grading period. Each test will be worth 15 points.
Assignments and Hearings- Periodically during the
grading period, there will be a progress hearing. Students will be asked to
sing any scales, exercises, or selections that they have been taught up to
that point. Students are required to practice at home daily, and occasionally
homework assignments may be given.
