GoldMedalU.S.News & World Report has released its third annual list of America's Best High Schools and the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts is ranked in the top 100 high schools in the nation placing FWAFA in the gold medal category. U.S. News partnered with School Evaluation Services (SES), a K-12 education data research business run by Standard & Poor's. More than 21,000 public high schools in 48 states were judged according to a comprehensive methodology developed by SES. School were judged by how students performed on state tests, evaluated on how well each school's disadvantaged students performed, and finally schools were judged  by college readiness indicators or how the school was successful in providing college-level coursework. Compared to 21,786 public high schools in 48 states plus the District of Columbia, the Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts ranks 91st in the nation.
