Students and staff at Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) will celebrate Famous Creations Day during the school day on October 31 by dressing as characters from books or as pieces of art.

FWAFA To Install Texas' Only Youth Art Peace Pole


Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) will unveil and dedicate Texas’ only Youth Art Peace Pole at a special ceremony on Friday, September 19, 2014 at 3:00 PM in the FWAFA garden. The ceremony will feature a performance by the Texas Boys Choir and recognition of the students who designed and created the Peace Pole.

Texas Boys Choir, Inc. is proud to announce the hiring of Alisha K. Hudman as its Development Director. Previously Development & Marketing Director of Susan G. Komen Greater Fort Worth, Alisha has strong ties to the community and brings new energy and enthusiasm to the position. FWAFA Named One of the Top High Schools in the Country


Fort Worth Academy of Fine Arts (FWAFA) has been ranked #84 in the nation among public high schools in a list just released by It is the only Fort Worth school and one of only 13 Texas schools ranked in the Top 100.  FWAFA was also named among the top 5% of public schools nationally and awarded a Silver Medal in the U.S. News & World Report Best High Schools Ranking. Additionally, this month the Texas Education Agency (TEA) designated FWAFA as a Reward School for high performance.
